Sweden's leading digital identity is BankID, provided by Finansiell ID-Teknik. BankID allows ten participating banks to issue electronic identities (BankIDs), covering 50 % of the Swedish population, or 77% of online bankers.
BGC AB maintains the BankID technology, wich allows individually issued electronic identities, to secure online transactions.
